Antifungals Donating Blood

My journey through Argentina and Bolivia

After the not so pleasant night under the stars on 3000müNn we were driving back to Mendoza, and from there further north to Salta. A very beautiful city, nestled in a valley and with a lively nightlife. As we drove slowly, however, to Bolivia, we took already the same night a bus to Villazon / Bolivia.

was very impressive that you could even look directly at the border of Bolivia, the extreme poverty: the houses are very simple, there are many people selling jewelry and food at the roadside and almost every woman wears the traditional Bolivian costumes. This consists of several long skirts, colorful scarves looped around the body, two long braids and a hat on his head.

What I also found very funny is that you can buy TNT explosives on the road. A rod fuze all costs 2 €! hihi

We went to Tupiza. There we rented a jeep with a local guide and went to a 4-day tour through the Andes to Bolivia to Uyuni. That was definitely a hell of an impressive drive in which was not boring. Every day there was some breakdown, either blew a tire and we were stuck in the sand or a river. Fortunately we were able to liberate but always. The streets were

either of soil or rubble and left and right extended the beautiful landscapes of mountains, valleys, cacti, rheas, llamas, Vicunhas, chinchillas and flamingos.

From time to time we also met in small Andean villages, in the middle of nowhere with 10-20 huts made of mud and straw. As you can live there is beyond me.

The highlights were, firstly, the Lagunas that glittered through the many minerals in various colors and were littered with hundreds of flamingos. Despues we passed bubbling geysers that smelled strongly of sulfur and spit out steaming hot mud. Also in volcanoes we passed, at the moment but unfortunately were not active.

The final day went through the largest Salt desert in the world, where you drive for hours with a 1m thick layer of salt. (I've tasted it, it's actually pure salt!)

went to this very diverse and exciting tour will continue west to Sucre. After we put our backpacks in a cheap hostel, we rented off-road motorcycles and made us a leader in an extremely fun tour of the Andes, Sucre.

Furthermore, we did a tour in a mine. That was one of my most impressive experience: in the tunnel about 8000 men working in the private. That is, anyone can pay a little rent and then break down in the mine minerals. In the corridors must you bent over and run some crawling on your belly! There is no oxygen supply or electricity. Due to the immense dust

workers have a life expectancy of 40-50 years. We are working 10-12 hours per day and, not infrequently, children of 10-15 years in the tunnels.

Due to poor coordination between the workers and the bad working conditions, about 50 people die each year in accidents.

will be rewarded this hard work, at least by a pretty good wage. Depending on the yield you earn 100-300 Euro per month. This is significantly higher than the average wage in Bolivia.

That was definitely a very impressive and depressing experience.

Finally, we drove

yet to Santa Cruz, where we realized that our time is too short to intermediate seminar in Argentina. Therefore we had to spontaneously book a flight to the 40-hour bus ride to get around. Fortunately we were able to get a pretty good time and were therefore in Eldorado at the seminar.

On this we have remained with the other volunteers, discussed problems, discussed a lot and had lots of fun.

Sooo, and now I'm back home and I do also have our hands full. The training building will soon be ready, every day we collect several hundred kilograms mangos for the pigs and now have I built one with Nicolas Cage quail. Yes, I'll try again with the quail breeding! =)

And I'm also practice firmly on the charango, a mandolin-like instrument with 10 pages, which I bought in Bolivia. I'm curious times, if I up to my home fairly dominant.

Progress report

Also this time I have to be brief, since shortly after in our bus Salta drives.

we spent New Year's Eve on a rooftop of a student flat in the middle of Buenos Aires, with views over large parts of the city. Damn cool party that lasted into the early morning hours.

After a few hours sleep, we boarded the bus in the afternoon and arrived 20 hours later in Mendoza, a city north of Argentina on the edge of the Andes. During the day we looked at the beautiful city and at night we slept in a hostel.

The next morning we went by 6 clock four hours by bus to the mountains. There we found a guide by which we climbed by a horse 4000. Hat ve rdammt made fun! =) We were told that there is a hut where you can spend the night, but unfortunately we found there is no soul. So we built from sheets and tarpaulins, which were lying there, a little protection from the wind.
Bloederweise was always colder, the wind blew strongly exaggerated and slow us the head throbbed from the thin air. So we went back on the descent and spent the night at about 3200m in the shelter of a rock in the open. The star sky was wonderful Schoe n, but we did not sleep much that night.

Sodele, now we have to go quickly, so we do not miss the bus.

Christmas at 30 degrees in summer

After this time 20 hours bus trip to Buenos Aires, I was already expected at the terminal and we made our to Hannah's flat, where I also spent the night. At noon I was still in their projects, which held a small Christmas service. Was rounded off the day with a typical Argentine asado, at home in a r project officer.

The next morning we met with the others, and put five of the Ferry from Tigre. Our cottage was in Tigredelta on a small island of the many tributaries of the Río Paraná and Río de la Plata . It was a beautiful house, right on the water with dock, canoe, large stone barbecue, patio and lawn. Simply fantastic.

Even the river was very rich in fish, so we fished every day ominous fish that had croaked and spines on the fins, contain me a time neatly in the hand stabbed.

Christmas Eve had it about 30 degrees. During the day we were sunning ourselves on the web, read, Anglo th, played guitar and enjoyed the idyllic river landscape. When it began to dawn, we started with the preparations for the evening s. We cleared the living room nice and Merle had even a handsome plastic Christmas tree and homemade Christmas decorations from the children of their project here. So we got with the help of many candles and air conditioning even have a real Christmas atmosphere in the house.

In the evening we started Wed t a real feast, asado is grilled, served with it were several different salads, even fish you catch, sauces, bread and Argentine vino tinto. And for dessert, pear Helene.

Then we wanted to attend a Christmas service on the mainland. However, since we could find no time, we arranged ourselves for the evening.

After we sang Christmas carols with guitar and flute accompaniment, we can still the Christmas story from the English Bible. Was then continued drinking wine and I sat comfortably with Christoph on the web (under a mosquito net), where until the early hours playing guitar and singing together.

on the remaining days we had almost daily visits to various volunteers from the area of Buenos Aires, each spent a few days here.

The week went by much too quickly, unfortunately.
